Central and Italy join forces for grand ‘Dolce Italia 2025’ lifestyle event

Central Department Store, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Thailand and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), is set to host ‘Central Dolce Italia,’ an exclusive showcase of premier Italian brands. This annual event, now in its third year, solidifies Central’s position as a leading global fashion and lifestyle destination, bringing the “Made in Italy” experience to the heart of Bangkok.

Under the theme ‘A Celebration of Italian Excellence,’ the event will feature over 72 curated brands across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. The concept evokes a charming Italian seaside town, with pop-up booths styled as Italian ships carrying premium goods. This year, for the first time, Central is expanding the event to regional locations, including Central Chiangmai and Central Phuket.

“This collaboration reflects ITA’s commitment to promoting Italian goods in Thailand,” said Paola Guida, Italian Trade Commissioner. “We aim to connect Thai customers with world-class brands and create an authentic Italian experience, stimulating spending in premium categories like fashion, eyewear, and home décor.”

Tapida Norpanlob, Omnichannel Merchandising Director of Central Department Store Group, highlighted the event’s role in reinforcing Central’s leadership. “This is more than a showcase; it’s a strategic move to position Thailand as a global shopping destination,” she said. Citing a 79% increase in its Italian brand portfolio in 2024, Central is adding top-tier names like Miu Miu, Gucci, and Prada, as well as introducing five new Italian brands exclusively to the Thai market. This expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for luxury goods, with imports from Italy in this segment growing at an average annual rate of 45.7% between 2021 and 2024.
