Meta has announced the official debut of its Llama 4 collection of open source Large Language Models (LLMs), providing a significant upgrade to the capabilities of Meta AI in Thailand and marking yet another step in Meta’s ongoing journey to make world-class AI accessible to everyone everywhere.
Meta Llama is an LLM, a type of AI model specifically focused on language comprehension and generation that can be used for a wide range of generative tasks, such as writing, image generation, coding, and more. The newly released Llama 4 Scout and Maverick models, distilled from the powerful Llama 4 Behemoth model, are Meta’s most advanced LLMs to date, boasting industry-leading performance and best-in-class multimodality that place them among the smartest LLMs today. Meta Llama 4 is freely available in multiple languages, including Thai, and currently powers Meta AI across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta.AI.
Scalable Language AI for Every Need Supported in Thai
Meta Llama 4 includes both smaller and larger options to accommodate a range of use cases and developer needs. The models offer industry-leading performance with support for 12 languages, including Thai, enabling the creation of sophisticated AI applications that bridge language barriers. For general assistant and chat use cases, Llama 4 excels in precise image understanding and creative writing, while for developers, it offers state-of-the-art intelligence optimized for best response quality.
Here is a quick overview of Meta’s three new Llama 4 models:
- Llama 4 Scout: A 17 billion parameter Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) model trained on 16 experts. It is the best multimodal model in its class globally and offers an industry-leading 10M token context window, outperforming Gemma 3, Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, and Mistral 3.1 across a broad range of widely accepted benchmarks.
- Llama 4 Maverick: A 17 billion parameter MoE model trained on 128 experts. Also the best model in its class, it features leading-edge image grounding and outperforms GPT-4o and Gemini 2.0 Flash across a broad range of widely accepted benchmarks. It achieves comparable results to DeepSeek v3 on reasoning and coding at half the active parameters, offering an unparalleled performance-to-cost ratio.
- Llama 4 Behemoth: Both Llama 4 Scout and Maverick are Meta’s best models yet thanks to their distillation from Llama 4 Behemoth, Meta’s most powerful model to date. Llama 4 Behemoth is a 288 billion parameter teacher model that sits among world’s smartest LLMs. Llama 4 Behemoth is still in training but is currently seeing results that outperform GPT4.5, Claude Sonnet 3.7, and Gemini 2.0 Pro on STEM-focused benchmarks.

Upgrading Meta AI in Thailand
Meta AI is getting a big upgrade thanks to the introduction of Llama 4, boosting users’ productivity and creativity thanks to its newly enhanced reasoning capabilities and features.
Meta AI, now powered by Llama 4, is currently available in Thailand through WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta.AI, and can provide even more helpful and factual responses that are free of judgment. It will respond conversationally and share informative answers in multiple languages across a range of topics, such as personal advice, opinions, recommendations, and more. Meta AI is also more steerable than ever, following explicit instructions more precisely and enabling users to generate text and images using simple to increasingly complex text prompts.
You can try the new and improved Meta AI powered by Llama 4 on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta.AI right now. Users can simply log into their Meta accounts to get started.
Safe and Free for Research and Commercial Use
Keeping Meta Llama open source guarantees that people around the world have free access to the benefits of AI, no matter where they are. As part of this mission, Meta aims to develop only the most helpful models for developers while simultaneously mitigating and protecting against severe risks. To this end, Meta Llama 4 was built following best practices as outlined in Meta’s Responsible Use Guide, thereby empowering future developers to create helpful, safe, and adaptable experiences for their Llama-supported applications.
