Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, is scheduled to visit Bangkok this December to officially announce the company’s investment plans in Thailand, according to Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan that revealed to Bloomberg.
Nvidia, a leading global chip manufacturer, is following in the footsteps of Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, which have already invested in Thailand.
Pichai said that Nvidia’s investment could be a domino effect, attracting more capital and companies in related industries to invest in Thailand.
Although details about the investment value and Nvidia’s plans in Thailand have not yet been disclosed, more information is expected to be revealed within the next two months.

The fact that many global tech companies are choosing Southeast Asia as their investment base reflects the rapid growth of the digital industry in the region. Thailand, in particular, has the potential to become a hub for AI and advanced technology in the future.

Bloomberg reported that Nvidia has also pledged to invest in developing AI infrastructure in Indonesia and Malaysia and is exploring investment opportunities in Vietnam.
Nvidia’s chips are manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), and most of its AI servers are assembled by companies in Taiwan.
However, a spokesperson for Nvidia has not yet commented on the company’s investment plans in Thailand.
