SX2025: ASEAN’s largest expo tackles ‘Global Boiling’ with hands-on solutions

As the world grapples with the accelerating challenges of climate change, Sustainability Expo 2025 (SX2025), ASEAN’s largest event of its kind, is set to return from September 26 to October 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Moving beyond a simple showcase of technology, the expo aims to be an immersive platform for actionable solutions, framed by its guiding principle: “Sufficiency for Sustainability.”

The event, now in its sixth year, is designed to translate the complex concept of sustainability into tangible actions for individuals, communities, and businesses. It will feature 10 distinct zones, each designed to inspire and equip visitors with the tools and knowledge to adapt to a rapidly changing world.

From Philosophy to Practice

At the core of the expo is the SEP INSPIRATION zone, which highlights the successes of leading Thai and international organizations that have integrated Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) into their operations. This zone aims to demonstrate how principles of moderation, reasonableness, and self-immunity can build resilient and sustainable growth. Complementing this is the BETTER WORLD zone, which will use the power of art to provoke thought and offer new perspectives on pressing environmental and social issues.

Adapting for Survival: From the Individual to the Community

Recognizing that adaptation is key, several zones focus on building resilience at every level. The BETTER ME zone will explore the theme “Adaptation for Longevity,” featuring innovations in personalized medicine and lifelong learning strategies to promote well-being in an aging society.

Expanding outwards, the BETTER LIVING zone will address “Climate Change Adaptation” head-on, offering practical knowledge from public and private sector experts on how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters. This theme culminates in the BETTER COMMUNITY zone, which will showcase “Community in Action”—real-world examples of how grassroots initiatives and volunteerism are creating more resilient and connected cities.

A Sustainable Lifestyle: Eat, Shop, and Play

SX2025 will also demonstrate that a sustainable lifestyle can be vibrant and accessible. The SX FOOD FESTIVAL, one of the largest in Thailand, will invite visitors to “Eat for the Planet,” with over 100 vendors and celebrity chefs presenting healthy and eco-conscious cuisine.

For conscious consumers, the SX MARKETPLACE will offer a wide array of sustainable products, while the innovative SX REPARTMENT STORE will provide a platform for the circular economy, allowing visitors to give pre-loved household items a new life. Meanwhile, the SX KIDS ZONE will engage the next generation with fun, interactive exhibits on environmental science and animal adaptation.

A Hub for Global Knowledge and Networks

Beyond the public exhibitions, SX2025 will serve as a major international hub for business and innovation. The event will host high-level seminars, workshops (SX IDEALAB), and talks (SX Talk Stage) featuring sustainability leaders. Underscoring its global reach, the expo will also be the venue for the Enactus World Cup 2025, a prestigious competition featuring student teams from 32 countries presenting their social innovation projects.

Sustainability Expo 2025 is more than an exhibition; it is a call to action. By bringing together diverse ideas and practical solutions under one roof, it stands as a critical reminder that a better, more sustainable world begins with the collective action of individuals.

The event is open to the public with free admission from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. For more information, visit www.sustainabilityexpo.com or follow the Sustainability Expo Facebook page.
