Future Mobility Asia 2022 to Bring Together Global Industry Leaders in Thailand to Energise Clean Mobility in Asia

Future Mobility Asia (FMA) 2022, a comprehensive showcase of clean mobility concepts, solutions and innovations, will take place from 20 to 22 July, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), where it will be co-located with Future Energy Asia, Asia’s leading energy transformation exhibition and summit.

Held under the patronage and support of Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, and organised by dmg events, Future Mobility Asia 2022 will bring together and connect Ministers, policy makers, investors, and industry professionals with OEMs, mobility innovators, after-market suppliers and technology solution providers to energise the future of clean mobility in Asia.

To showcase discussions that will be taking place at the first edition of Future Mobility Asia in July, regional thought leaders and key solution providers gathered to discuss clean mobility ambitions in ASEAN and insights on Thailand’s 3030 EV production policy in an event preview today.

Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Chief Inspector General, Thailand Ministry of Energy & Co-chair of Future Mobility Asia Steering Committee, said: “Thailand, one of the leading EV manufacturing hubs in Southeast Asia, has set a roadmap to manufacture 1.2 million EVs by 2036. Future Mobility Asia 2022 will play a crucial role in accelerating energy transition, by creating the platform to share and co-create innovative clean mobility to drive the Kingdom’s EV hub ambition and attract investment into the entire EV value chain.”

Taking place over three days of high-level discussions, Future Mobility Asia 2022’s conference will host Ministerial keynotes and global CEO dialogues during which speakers will share insights into the trends, strategies and solutions driving the future of Asian carbon neutral mobility.

At the same time, the event’s exhibition will provide direct access to mobility start-ups, scale-ups, investors, and multinational corporations spanning the world. The exhibition will see first-hand, clean, electric, and autonomous vehicle demonstrations, launches for autonomous, passenger and commercial vehicles and announcements of new technologies, products, and innovations. A robust line-up of activities ranging from on-floor lighthouse projects, case studies and start-up showcases, start-up venture capitalist pitching, to hackathons, will also take place.

Uniquely, Future Mobility Asia 2022 has been co-developed with a mobility leaders advisory committee and industry practitioners. The committee contributes to efforts propelling national and regional EV ambitions and rollouts, by helping to attract investments into the clean mobility value chain.

Members of the Steering Committee include Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Chief Inspector General, Thailand Ministry of Energy & Co-chair of Future Mobility Asia Steering Committee; Chanin Khaochan, Deputy Secretary General, Thailand Board of Investment; Dushyant Sinha, Head of ASEAN EGA (External Government Affairs) from Nissan; Kelvin Tay, Managing Director, Future Mobility and Advisor to CEO, Goldbell Group; Martin Knoss, Regional President Powertrain Solutions ASEAN and Robert Bosch GmbH.
