TPI Polene Power Public Company Limited (“TPIPP or the Company”) has been selected as one of the ESG100 companies with outstanding performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects from the assessment of listed securities in 2025 by Thaipat Institute.
Prachai Leophairatana, Chairman of TPIPP revealed that Thaipat Institute announced TPIPP’s ranking in ESG100 securities list for the year 2025 by selecting from 921 listed Securities as a company for ESG Values with outstanding performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects in Resources Sector. The Company has been listed in the ESG100 Securities Sector for the 6 years of Recognition for Outstanding Sustainability.
“The Company is committed to becoming a leader in the renewable energy industry by addressing the growing demand for clean energy and through a full transition to 100% waste-to-energy power plants within the year 2025, which the Company will have a total electricity generation capacity of 534 megawatts from waste-derived fuel and solar power. As of the end of the first quarter of 2025, the Company successfully utilized a total of 781,686 tons of various types of waste as fuel for its power plants and sold the sorted waste to TPI Polene Public Company Limited to be used as fuel in its cement production.
The Company realizes the critical role of the power generation sector in addressing climate change and limiting global temperature rise not to be more than 1.5°C, to be in line with the Paris Agreement. As a result, the Company has identified climate management as a material sustainability issue of the Company and has set a long-term target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2037, which is 13 years ahead of Thailand’s national target.
Thaipat Institute considers the rankings of Securities by taking into consideration of data from ESG operations together with the listed company’s operational results.”
Thaipat Institute is the pioneer in the development of sustainability information of the business, and has disclosed names of 100 outstanding ESG listed Securities, known as ESG100 Securities list, for the first time in the year 2015, and the sustainability data of listed companies has been collected and continued for the 11th consecutive year in this year.
The sustainability investment rating conducted by Thaipat Institute is an independent assessment as an external agency, using publicly disclosed information. The assessment is benchmarked against ESG indicators based on internationally accepted sustainability frameworks and standards such as those from the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI).
