GrabFood announced a remarkable 65% increase in suki orders over the past two months (June-July 2025). This surge, driven by fierce competition in the hotpot industry, has prompted GrabFood to bring one of the country’s most beloved suki brands to Bangkok.
The platform has partnered with Chiang Mai’s legendary “Suki Changphuak,” making its famous stir-fried suki available exclusively for delivery in Bangkok under the “Only at Grab” sub-brand. The brand’s first-ever branch outside of its six successful locations in Chiang Mai has now opened on Banthat Thong Road, a renowned street food haven.
Chirakit Kwangsukstith, Senior Director – Deliveries, Grab Thailand, noted, “The hotpot buffet war is not just creating buzz for dine-in restaurants; it’s also reshaping food delivery trends. Suki is one of our best-selling single-dish items, with over 270,000 orders annually, and the recent spike in demand shows its growing popularity.”
Natsuwan Imjaiboon, owner of Suki Changphuak, expressed her excitement for the Bangkok expansion. “After countless requests from our fans, we’ve chosen Banthat Thong Road as our first location outside of Chiang Mai. This partnership with Grab, which has accounted for 30% of our sales, allows us to offer our exclusive flavors to a new audience. We are already exploring opportunities for more branches in Bangkok soon.”
The collaboration highlights GrabFood’s strategy of elevating local culinary legends and providing urban diners with exclusive access to celebrated dishes, while helping local businesses thrive and expand through a robust digital delivery platform.
